April 29, 2021 — Arrest
Federal agents arrested Duggar in Arkansas on charges of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material. He pleaded not guilty and was released days later on strict conditional bail.

December 9, 2021 — Conviction
After a federal jury trial in the Western District of Arkansas before Judge Timothy L. Brooks, Duggar was found guilty on both counts.

May 25, 2022 — Sentencing
Duggar was sentenced to 12 years and 7 months (151 months) in federal prison, a $10,000 fine, 20 years of supervised release, and sex offender registration.

2022–2024 — Appeals denied
The Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the conviction in August 2023, and the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear the case in June 2024.

Duggar is serving his sentence at the Elkton Federal Correctional Institution in Ohio. His earliest expected release is February 2, 2033.
